Lucky Punx is a community of creatives drawn together by a love of Asian folklore, storytelling and the idea of good fortune.
All 7,777 Lucky Punx are unique, hand-drawn and animated by an award-winning artist with over 20 years of global commercial experience.
Engineered to bring the concept of luck on-chain, Lucky Punx will utilise luck as a trait.

Lucky Punx NFTs
Lucky Punx Origins
The origin of the Maneki Neko (the first of the Lucky Punx to bring luck and fortune to their owners), goes back to a humble 17th century Japanese temple. Known as Gotokuji, this temple is located in the village of Setagaya near Tokyo.
The temple priest of the time barely had enough resources to feed himself. Nevertheless, he took in a stray white cat, and gave him the name Tama. Circumstances for the temple and its priest worsened, and eventually he told Tama that he might have a better chance of survival if he left the temple and fended for himself.
Tama left but, with tail held aloft, he didn’t travel far. Instead, he settled at the end of the road leading to the temple, and began preening himself as though he didn’t have a care in the world.
When a powerful typhoon began to brew from the North Pacific, a Samurai known as Lord Ii Naotaka of Hikone stopped to shelter under a nearby tree. When he saw Tama’s paw raised as if beckoning to him, he approached the cat, and began to stroke his head as Tama continued to lick an outstretched paw.
Suddenly Ii Naotaka felt a sudden urgency to move away from the tree. As he did so, it was suddenly struck by lightning. The tree was badly damaged, but the cat didn’t flinch and was completely unharmed, having saved the Samurai’s life.
Ii Naotaka gratefully followed Tama to the temple, where they were both welcomed by the priest. Thanks to Tama, and now also the priest, Lord Ii became patron of the temple. Thanks to the original Lucky Punk, Tama, the temple prospered.
Later, when Tama died, he was given a place of honour in the temple cemetery, and the first beckoning cat statue was created in his memory.
Word spread, first around Japan, and gradually around the world.
Followers became known as the Lucky Punx, carrying the luck, fortune and prosperity of their forebear. Traversing fashion and folklore, they’re forever guaranteed to rouse fervour and fortune in all who choose their paths. Some became infamous, others famous, and some even became part of legend and myth; all forever known as the Lucky Punx.

Artistic Style
The Lucky Punx brand was conceived by founder and co-owner graphic artist Andy. His passion for the Asian sub-culture aesthetic, and Japanese design sensibilities - Manga, Anime, music and fashion - all play a part in helping to shape the brand’s vision.
Through Andy’s creative commitment to design for both print and screen, Lucky Punx specifically draws inspiration from contemporary creative visionaries such as Ron English, KAWS, Hayao Miyazaki, Futura 2000 and Jung Gi Kim - to name a few.
Blending traditional graphic design practices with playfully whimsical vector-based minimalist 2D character design, Lucky Punx incorporates character iconography derived from 80s nostalgia, art history, music, current affairs and politics. The results are playful reflections on high and low culture across the centuries.
The fundamental backstory, and the foundations of the Lucky Punx narrative which has also helped shape the brand's visual styling, is the talisman Maneki Neko, a Japanese symbol for good luck and fortune. The Maneki Neko (also known as the Waving Cat) is believed to bring good luck and fortune to its owners; a highly appealing gift that keeps giving, which we aim to share with Lucky Punx NFT holders.

$LUCK is how you progress in the Lucky Punx ecosystem.
$LUCK can be generated by staking your Lucky Punx and Amulet.
7,777 Amulets will be shared with Lucky Punx holders, post-mint.
Amulets will be a separate NFT collection from the original Lucky Punx.
The rarer your Lucky Punx, the rarer your shared Amulet will be.
Amulets have 4 rarity levels; the rarer your Amulet, the greater the $LUCK multiplier while staking.
All Lucky Punx are born with 0.00 $LUCK. Once you’ve received your shared Amulet, you’re ready to combine this with your Lucky Punx, begin staking and generating $LUCK.
$LUCK can be invested to increase the Luck Level of the Lucky Punx NFT.
$LUCK can also be used to purchase items in the Lucky Punx Marketplace.
There are 4 Luck Levels, with the final level providing coveted access to the ‘Lucky 7 Club’.
As your NFT’s Luck Level does not correlate with the rarity of your Lucky Punx NFT, a Common NFT can still ascend to the Lucky 7 Club.
Lucky 7 Club
The Lucky 7 Club is a hyper-exclusive sub-group within the Lucky Punx community and broader ecosystem. Many benefits will bestow members of the Lucky 7 Club, both in the physical and metaphysical world. Our aim is to make this club symbiotic with real world utility and exclusivity - for example networking, creative collaboration and attending events as a Lucky Punx holder.

The Maneki Neko (招き猫 meaning “beckoning cat”) is a Japanese cultural icon, regarded as a symbol of good luck, prosperity and success. Our LUCKY PUNX toys will also share this embodiment of LUCK.
The individuals fortunate enough to hold a Legendary Lucky Punx NFT will have the opportunity to receive a Lucky Punx Physical Toy, suitable for desks, car dashboards, front windows or the kitchen. (You can carry it with you when you go to the bar if you so wish, and you might just get Lucky, Punx.)
Amulets
Lucky Punx Amulets will be shared post-launch to all holders. Amulets can be used to generate $LUCK through staking. Amulets have 4 rarity levels; the rarer your Amulet, the greater the $LUCK multiplier while staking.
Staking
Lucky Punx NFT holders will be able to generate $LUCK tokens passively, through staking their NFTs with the Amulets that will be shared post-launch. When a user stakes their NFT, they will receive daily $LUCK rewards. Furthermore, the rarer the NFT, the more $LUCK your Lucky Punx NFT will generate.
Lucky Punx - Z NFT Collection
The Lucky Punx - Z (Zombie) collection is event-oriented. It furthers the story, giving the community the opportunity to turn their NFT into a undead version of their Lucky Punx, or satisfy their hunger for more LUCK.
The Lucky Punx - Z collection will be introduced with a short story introducing Cursed Objects and the ‘7 Deadly Sins’. As Amulets earn LUCK, Cursed Objects can steal LUCK from other Lucky Punx NFTs. However you may be unlucky, as at any time a Cursed Object can backfire and turn a Lucky Punx into a Zombie. This is the price you may have to pay for using your Cursed Object to steal LUCK from a fellow Lucky Punx NFT holder. Will your hunger and lust for LUCK backfire on you? Make your choice.
IRL Events
Lucky Punx will be hosting IRL events across the globe, exclusively for Lucky Punx holders. Your Lucky Punx NFT will act as your access pass. Currently we have a secret event in the works for holders, allowing them to connect with the team, advisors, and other holders face-to-face. These events will be an engaging way to expand your network, having some fun along the way. With the team's vast network and knowledge in design and technology both in Web3 and Web2, these evenings present a valuable way to learn and create. Intellectual Property & Licensing
This Lucky Punx NFT licence is a legally binding agreement entered into between Lucky Punx and you. When you acquire a Lucky Punx NFT, you own all personal property rights to the token underlying the asset.
You will have the opportunity to license your Lucky Punx across our various merch avenues. For example, should we release a toy of your character, you would earn royalties for every sale.

Working Together
Dave and Andy have both worked in digital media since graduating in Graphic Communication in the late 1990s. Before this, Justin and Dave were at school together. All 3 began their careers at trailblazing London agency Profero - digital communication pioneers at the forefront of online marketing.
Since then, they have often collaborated: Dave nurturing clients' digital briefs - Andy conjuring imaginative creative, and Justin delivering innovative technical solutions.
DAVE
Having worked briefly as a designer in Amsterdam, Dave joined Profero. A quick succession of promotions led to Dave joining the operational board as Profero's creative director, working for brands including Sky, Channel 5, Disney, the Home Office and Black & Decker.
Then working as a creative for agencies and brands, including L’Oréal for over 5 years, Dave set up Bristol-based digital agency Spicerack in 2010. Spicerack is a well established agency, combining creativity and technology to craft engaging digital experiences for clients including Dyson and SEGA.
Dave first became interested in Lucky Punx last year, and was captivated by a brilliantly creative concept that had yet to formulate its direction. He saw the brand's potential as something unique, magnetic and infinitely collectable, and quickly aligned this with his growing interest in the new world of NFTs.
ANDY
After graduating in information design, Andy joined the same digital agency as Dave, working as a designer for an enviable range of global clients.
After only a few years, Profero's expanding network afforded Andy the opportunity to work abroad. Starting in Italy before heading to Asia to support the same agency's growth in the region, he has become diversely-experienced in multiple markets through his passion for storytelling through big ideas, design and innovation.
Across 22 years living in London, Milan, Singapore, China, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vietnam, Andy has had the opportunity to work with iconic brands, including Apple, Mercedes Benz, Singapore Airlines, Disney and Hershey.
In the background, Andy often has personal creative projects bubbling, and from this cauldron emerged Lucky Punx. Over many months, Andy worked with Dave to define the brand's calling as a collection of animated characters, with varied creative ambitions and community utility.
JUSTIN
After studying at Oxford University, and time out travelling India, Justin joined the same pioneering agency as Dave and Andy. He soon established himself as the technology engine behind not only their global clients' often industry-first digital projects, but also the operation of the agency itself. This experience as a board-level technology director led to a number of other senior technical roles, including the development of a prominent digital media company's video ad-serving and video content management platform.
In 2015, Justin's own established technology agency joined forces with Dave's creative agency Spicerack in Bristol. Together they continued to build a leading west country agency, with Justin then taking the helm as MD in 2021.
Later that year, Justin's expertise and interest in the kind of technology underpinning crypto and decentralised digital marketing aligned very obviously with Lucky Punx.
